In 2022, two teams entered the Indian Premier League, one of them being the Gujarat Titans, alongside the Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG). In October 2021, CVC Capital Partners won the right to supervise the Ahmedabad franchise with a total bid of ₹5,625 crore. The franchise assigned Hardik Pandya as their captain, and in February 2022, the team was officially named the Gujarat Titans. Under the outstanding leadership of Hardik Pandya, the Gujarat Titans (GT) made history by winning the IPL title in just their first season by defeating the Rajasthan Royals in the final. In the same season, they crushed the whole playoffs by winning 10 of their 14 group matches. This win made Gujarat the second team to win the IPL in their first season. The team anthem used to be ‘Aava De’ in their first IPL season; the song was sung by Aditya Gadhvi, However, the team’s new anthem for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season is ‘GT Karshe. ’
