Chennai Super Kings History
Chennai Super Kings have experienced knockout in 12 seasons. Dhoni was the highest-paid player in the team, charging Rs. 9.5 crore in the inaugural auction. He became the face of the team. Additionally, the coach Stephen Fleming, and his expertise have taken the Chennai Super Kings to a new level of success.
In 2008 and 2009, The team lost the final off the last ball but they secured titles in the next 2 seasons. In the nxt 4 IPLs, they were knocked out and banned for 2 years due to fixing scandals. The team returned in 2018 and won their 3rd title.
Super Kings played the best final against Mumbai India in 2019 with Rohit Sharma. This was a one-run victory. Next year, the team lost the match and reached the bottom, maybe because they were struggling to adjust in UAE. In the next season, they bounced back and finished second in the league stage and won the match in the final against Kolkata Knight Riders.
In 2022, the team crashed again and came back into action again in 2023 and won their fifth title.

Chennai Super Kings Highs
After the 2018 Auction, Chennai Super Kings were trolled with the name “Dad’s Army” but they proved it wrong with Shane Watson, 30+ players who delivered their 3rd IPL title with unbeatable 100s in the final match. This was the best comeback after a 2-year suspension from the IPL. After their poor performance in 2020, they again got back the title in 2021.
Chennai Super Kings Lows
Chennai Super Kings had the biggest downfall when their higher official “Gurunath Meiyappan” was arrested due to charges of cheating, forgery, and fraud.
